With the introduction of the Covid 19 pandemic along with an increase in diseases that affect our younger population the definition of caregiving has expanded. The “sandwich generation "has greatly increased in which people care for their children, parents and sometimes grandparents due to fact that people are living longer. For years the emphasis on the stress that caregiving can cause has been severely minimized. It can be absolutely exhausting for the caregiver physically, emotionally cognitively, socially and relationally purely because of a lack of time, boundaries, or the emotional toll of caring. What Hinders You caregiver support service was formed to do just that SERVE. Our passion is to bridge the gap between caregivers, children, family, community and the cared-for.
